Festivus is a fictitious holiday from the television show Seinfeld. Frank Costanza forced his son George to participate in Festivus when he was younger. It replaces the Christmas tree with an aluminum pole "very high strength to weight ratio" quotes Frank. Some of the other activities at Festivus include The airing of grievances where everyone gathers for a traditional holiday meal and the patriarch of the family tells how the other family members have disappointed him throughout the year. The last event is the feats of strength in which Frank and George must wrestle and the holiday cannot come to an end until George is able to pin his father. Below is a clip from that episode.
